Frost on rosemary
Melts slowly in pale yellow rays
Flock of gulls squawk by
We saw the real first frost on the roof this morning. I didn’t see any rosemary, but I did see those pale sun rays start melting it. And I think some old crows were squawking or maybe a mean jaybird or two.
Now tell me…….why does my little group of words not seem to be like your little group of words? LOL I seem to be missing something.
LOL. I dunno. Some rosemary bushes line the driveway here. The sun was struggling to do its thing behind a bank of clouds, managed to shred a few and lit up that particular spot. It’s going to be a long winter here.

Did you button your overcoat?
No, but I set the climate control in my car up a notch and turned on the heated seat. Less romantic than being out in the open air, but warmer.
