Winter sun with short shadows
Beneath Parasol pines

I read this poem a few hours ago and didn’t have time to comment etc. So now I come back and I am rereading. And I am thinking………hmmmm the words have changed and now my comment will not make sense.
The first time I read it…….I read Parasol VINES. And I could relate to that. I have had a patio that had vines all over the top lattice and it gave shade like a parasol.
Now it says Parasol PINES. Need new glasses. lol

🙂 There are parasol pines all around me on this hillside. They are gorgeous trees that seem to brush against the sky with the slightest breeze. These days at sunrise and sunset the light hits them sideways and casts huge long shadows, whereas the winter moon, high over head produces short squat shadows.
But you knew that. I was trying to show a corresponding cycle, or may be a dialog between sun and moon…
I just write Meme. Sometimes without filter.

Beautiful!
I don’t know if it’s retribution for the failed apocalypse prediction or what, but seemed like this full moon was one of the best in a long while.
