Elemental

leaves_floating_on_water-1024x768

If I disappear into smoke
Will you gather the eddies
Wrap them around a tree
Let my dreams flow in its veins
Color its bark, its leaves
And let my laughter fade like the dew?

If I stay still in a river of time
Will you find me when you fly round a star?
If I hurtle towards the sun
Will you cast a shadow to slow me down?
If I am the leaf floating along
Will you catch me before the waterfall?

I am the rock and the sand
The clay and the mire
Afraid to fall, afraid to stand
A dreamer and a clown for hire

I am a fickle wind
Catch me if you can

parasol pines

Such an elegant description of the artistic soul. I confess I don’t speak French but the recording allows me to connect to the poetic voice behind the words. I sense a free spirit with a will of her own and a sensitive love for the natural world.

Merci.

The photo is fantastic and the words were felt deep within.
What a great gift you have sharing the words that stir inside the soul, waiting to be read and hugged by our eyes.
