Star Light to Star Dust

grass
Magnificent sun rises
The glorious winter sun
Of my heart shines
Illuminates grass and blossoms
In stained glass hues
Showers me with soft warmth
Touches my soul
With grace

You are stardust
He hums
You are mine
As much as
I am yours
Shadows around you
Anchor you
Find your balance
See colors as they are

I will watch over you
As long as you breathe
Sing your love
Live your passion
Until your voice
Finds silence
Until the light
Goes out

Nearby a single crow mourns
I choke

“Shadows around you anchor you.” I like visualizing that, from the Sun’s perspective I assume. Thanks for giving my brain something to play with. Maybe I’ll be able to get something done while it’s occupied.-)

Happy to help you get things done Jim!
Sometime back I was standing in moonlight before sunrise tethered to the flagstone by my shadow. Then daybreak came, erasing it slowly in paler shades until it was gone…and in a surreal nanosecond, before the rising sun gave me another shadow leaning in a different direction, I wondered if what I am could float away.

Oh the love of the natural world, the greeting of the morning sun… I love that you choke, that it is sometimes so beautiful…
