elephant and snot bubbles 2

Caramel skin smoothed by caresses
tender, fragile, hauntingly beautiful,
deliberate in her movements,
observing all, yet detached…

I am a princess skipping by.
Will you be my attendant
and braid my hair in the sun?
Will you count butterflies
with me, and draw elephants?

I am a diva singing to dragonflies,
a Lady of the dance twirling for moths.
I am a child tiptoeing in the grass
feeding on daydreams and lollipops,
Mistress of my world, a visitor in yours.

Keep your distance.
Let me be.
Let me run with clouds
and live the wonder
That you have forgotten.

  3. AnElephantCant dance with butterflies
Although he is quite beautifully drawn
    And he is so proud
That his wee pic of a cloud
Appears in the same world as Emmy’s magical poem

      AnElephantCan play with butterflies
      swat mosquitoes and shoo flies.
      today he makes Emmy laugh
with his not so wee photograph
      When clouds draw an elephant
      Isn’t a wonderment?

    Genius. Is she 7, 17, 27, or 77? She’s all, at once.

    Masterfully done, Em.

There’s a bit of carefree happiness in this, Emm, and it fits you very well. Contrary to the specious rumor that is circulating, I have not fallen from the face of the earth………, yet !!!

Silly wee Willy Nilly read this with dreamy eyes and forgot all about chasing the neighbor’s cat. “Someone else chases butterflies?” He asked me; as if he was the only one. I told him, “Yes!” It’s rare, but there are others that adore the friendship of butterflies and follow their fluttering path. A very delightful read, Em.
