About Emmy
One of the perks of writing is that we can invent all sorts of voices to suit our purpose.
I imagined sprites and trees who each speak in different registers, as you know.
For me sun, mountains, and most of all the Med, have a lot to say.
Emmylgant, the writer and poet brought them to life in a strange mix of metaphors.
You all have never met Emmy L Gant, the gracious woman I hide behind.
She is … Well… ahum… see for yourself.
She started doing announcements too, in a scarcely believable French accent…
Have a listen. Tell me what you think.
And remember, she is not real… or is she?
Well, Emm, from the caricature, I must think she is beautiful….., and from the audio the soft, throaty voice is most seductive! …..but then I’m half asleep or dreaming…, or am I ???

Haha! I would not make her homely now, given a choice, would I?
and the voice… well, that was the point of the announcement!
It helps that I am on the tail end of a cold… 😉

Mythical creatures do not wear berets… Therefore, Emm exists!
How can anyone not love the French accent?

I like the looks of this, but my tired old ears have trouble with the audio, so I’ll have to see what develops and try to catch up. For now, I’ll download the file and see how I do with headphones. Meanwhile, elg, congratulations on your debut.-)

Perhaps the sound quality or the strange thick accent.
emmy says “next time I will give zee script for zee ears of readers, oui? It will be like megaphones zen, n’est-ce pas?”
By the summer, I think her French accent will tone down a bit. 🙂

I ran it through Audacity and tweaked the equalization to suit the dead spots in my ears. Then it was just fine. I loved the one eyed girl in a beret accent. Pourquoi pas?-)

This was a lot of fun for someone like myself with runaway hyper-sensory input tied to an unfettered imagination. Of course, I would accidentally hijack the intent and run off to a movie with Emmy playing in my head in the starring role. I envisioned my eager tourist cybrid listening to Emmy explain the street festival and being so captivated by her voice and enchanting gaze, I only heard that the festival was free. But then the last part would hint of her romantic heart and love of the arts and suddenly the festival becomes an obsession. My apologies to Emmy for being such a tourist. A very nice persona and endless potential.

🙂 Undoubtedly, it’s the wee dragon with the large blinking eyes peeking from behind the tourist’s shoe. They are such mischievous little rascals. ( I can’t wait to read Emmy’s account of this strange encounter ) 🙂
